Deferring the delivery of Outlook sent mails

Deferring the delivery of sent mails proves really useful when one happens to accidentally hit the send button.

To defer the delivery of sent items in outlook, follow the given process.
1. Launch Microsoft outlook. Go to Tools > Rules and Alerts.
2. Tap the option of New Rule.

It will open the window of Rules Wizard.

3. Under the category of “Start from a Blank Rule”, click the option of “check message after sending” and press the Next button.
4. Again click on Next in the next window.
5. Click Yes in the resulting prompt window.

This will again open the Rules Wizard.
6. In the Rules Wizard check the option of “Defer delivery by a number of
minutes”, and to defer delivery time, click the text “a number of”.
7. The window of Deferred Delivery will show up. Specify the time by which you want to defer the delivery of the sent mail. Press the OK button.
8. Press the Finish button to save the rule.

To name the rule, go to Change Rule and click the option of Rename Rule. Rename the rule.
