In this part 15 of my Windows 7 tutorial I’ll continue with part 3 of a tour of Windows Explorer.

If as I suggested you selected all the Windows Explorer Layout options (via ‘Organize’ and ‘Layout’), below your Organization bar will be your Navigation pane.

To demonstrate just how dynamic your Organize bar is in relation to your Navigation pane.

1. Click on Libraries. Your Organize bar will include - Organize, Open, Share with, and Burn.
2. Click on the little triangle to the left of Libraries and click on Documents. Your Organize bar will include - Organize, Share with (ignore this option for the time being), Burn (to burn all the files and folders in Documents to a CD/DVD), and New Folder (to create a new folder).
3. Click on any one of your Documents subfolders. Your Organize bar will include Organize, Open, Share with, E-mail (if you have an e-mail program installed on your computer when you click on E-mail all that folder’s sub folders and files will be attached to an e-mail), Burn, and New Folder.
4. Click on an individual file in a Documents folder and you’ll have the same options as described in #3, plus ‘Open’(a suggested program to open the file). Click on the down triangle for additional ‘Open’ options.
5. Click on a Music subfolder of your Music folder and your Organize bar will include Organize, Share with, Play all (play all songs in that folder), Burn, and New folder.
6. Click on an individual song in your Music folder and you’ll have the same options as described in #5, plus ‘Play’ (a suggested program to play the song. Click on the down triangle for additional ‘Play’ options.
7. A Click on a Pictures sub folder of your Pictures folder and your Organization bar will include Organize, Share with, Slide show (a slide show of all the pictures in that folder), Burn, and New Folder.
8. Click on a Picture file and you’ll have the same options as described in #7, plus ‘E-mail’ (size and attach a picture(s) to an e-mail if you have an e-mail program installed) and ‘View with’ (a suggested program to view the picture. Click on the down triangle for additional programs to view the picture.

Note: The options for Video are the same as those for Music.

Please do not become frustrated by all the Organize options. Just walk and click about your Navigation pane and enjoy discovering how truly dynamic your Organize bar is.
