Brian Barnes and the "Citrus Computer Caper"

For those who may not know Brian Barnes well, you may not know that in recent years he has been the single most significant contributor to the Southwest Florida PC User Group. Not only did Brian reinstate our bulletin board when Tom Kinnen could no longer maintain it, but he is one its most responsive and reliable contributors.

Brian also is currently our User Group moderator and senior SWFPCUG consulting technician.

Recently during a chat with Brian I discovered in addition to custom building, setting up and repairing PC’s he is now setting up and configuring Nooks, Kindles, Internet TV, iPads, Rokus and Boxees.

I asked him why he had not told me about his new business adventures so I could post them to our Bulletin Board and our Good Boot Newsletter. Brian responded rather sheepishly that he was afraid I would discover he was also now repairing Macintosh computers.

I told him although I have never trusted a computer named after a fruit, I would forgive him his transgression.

Seriously, I hope as a reward for all Brian has contributed over the years to our User Group, if you need any of the services I have mentioned, you’ll at least put him on you shopping list.

And if you have a friend who needs a repair to their "citrus" computer, have them give Brian a shout out.
